Karli Ellis is a 27-year-old who has a love of music and teaching children. She graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. She began taking piano lessons at seven years old and took private lessons for nine years until she began to teach at the age of 16. During this time she was taking vocal training from a private teacher as well as being involved in her school's Concert and A Cappella choirs. She has starred in numerous musicals including the chance to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.
After teaching Kindergarten for 3 years, she decided to run her music studio full time, adding multiple classes and camps that fit every child's needs. She uses many of her teaching techniques from the classes she has taken in college at her music studio. Classes such as child development, learning theories, understanding children, and more have helped Karli to understand how children learn and the best ways to differentiate instruction for each specific child to help them reach their fullest potential.
Having fun while learning the piano is Karli's main focus while teaching. She creates fun theory games, motivating rewards, and is always asking the students what songs THEY want to learn.
Karli has also gone to piano teaching workshops at Day Murray Music and taken Music Theory from the University of Utah to help her understand piano concepts on a deeper level. When she is not teaching at the music studio, you can find her playing her guitar and piano, singing, composing music, watching Netflix, running a fashion blog and hanging out with her husband and two little dogs.
Stephani Rodriguez has been working at Notes Music Studio since January 2018. She took piano lessons for 11 years before she went to college where she is finishing up her last semester before completing her Associates of Education degree from Salt Lake Community College. Once she finishes her degree she is planning on continuing her education at The University of Utah with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies emphasizing in Child Life. She has also known she wanted to work with kids and currently works as a nanny and volunteers at Primary Children's Hospital. When she isn't working at Notes Music Studio you can find her learning new songs on the piano, playing soccer or tennis, going to school, watching Netflix, and hanging out with her friends.
Hello! My name is Charlotte Hunter. I have a love for all things music, especially piano. I started playing at age 7 and completed the OMTA syllabus curriculum during high school. I took a couple of advanced piano classes in college, and enjoy playing whenever I get the chance. My husband and I recently moved to North Salt Lake and I work full time as a dietitian for a hospital. I look forward to teaching and sharing music with you!
