PIANO
GROUP PIANO
Students work together with other students (about 3-4) and learn to play the piano in a group setting. We learn all the same things as in a private lesson, but work together to learn everything. This class pace is slightly slower than our other classes, but is beneficial for kids who like to learn in a social setting. The studio has 4 pianos during the group lesson where students each have their own keyboard. We also learn songs by ear and learn duets together. We have a lot of group activities and partner work to help each other learn.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Students work with a piano instructor in a one on one lesson where they will learn all the skills they need to learn the piano. This includes note recognition, rhythm, ear training, sight reading, dynamics, and more. Students have a theory workbook, a technic practice, a lesson book, and then a classical/popular songs book we switch between. As they progress we also include jazz, hymns and contemporary songs. We want to help our students be well rounded when it comes to learning the piano. One of our biggest focuses is to allow the student's to choose a song of their choice. Each student at our studio is always working on one song of their choice. This can be any song from their favorite classical piece, showtunes, video game theme song or the most popular songs on the radio. Making the piano fun and allowing the students to see why they are learning the piano is our biggest focus here at Notes Music Studio. Our private lessons are available for 30 or 45 minute segments. Prices below are a reflection of a 30 minute lesson, if you'd like a longer lesson please contact us for pricing and availability.

The 20/20/20 lesson format is as follows:

20 minutes of Private Lesson time with teacher

20 minutes of Personalized Theory/Technic Lesson with teaching assistant

20 minutes of Keyboard Lab Time and iPad Music Theory Games and Practice

Three students working individually, rotating through each 20 minute station

Includes two group lessons per semester where all students come together to perform songs, have theory lessons, learn with each other, and do group activities.
